Dr. Lynn Eckhert, PHMI’s Director of Academic Programs, recently published a study of offshore medical schools. The study, entitled, “Private Schools of the Caribbean: Outsourcing Medical Education”, was published in April 2010 in Academic Medicine, the Journal of the Association of American Medical Colleges. In this interview, Dr. Eckhert discusses looking at education programs in three dozen Caribbean medical schools to better understand the education being received by students who will eventually work in the United States.
